In January and February the programmes of Strategic Research organise four discussions with different themes. In each discussion one researcher and one parliamentary candidate discuss about a certain theme.
The first Tiede kohtaa vaalit (Science meets election) event, Osallistuminen ja maahanmuutto (Involvement and immigration) is on 30 January at 15-17 at the School of Business of the Aalto University, Runeberginkatu 14-16, Helsinki. The live stream of the event is available on the internet as well. All discussions are in Finnish.
SWiPE is present at the first discussion and SWiPE research project is represented by entrepreneurship researcher Satu Aaltonen, who is also specialised in immigrant entrepreneurship in her research.
Other discussants are professor Hanna Wass, University of Helsinki, adjunct professor Olga Davydova-Minguet, University of Eastern Finland, PhD researcher Katri Gadd, University of Turku, Eva Biaudet, Swedish People’s Party of Finland, Simo Grönroos, Finns Party, Juhana Vartiainen, Coalition Party and Ozan Yanar, the Green Party. The moderator of the event is journalist Jussi-Pekka Rantanen.
